In April 2019, the Global Alliance for Academic Development and Innovation (GAADI) officially announced that its affiliated academic research institution, the International Academic Research Institute (IARI), had completed registration and was formally established. The institute marks an important step by GAADI from membership certification and academic position services into academic research, forming a complete service chain from credential certification to substantive research participation. The institute has six research directions: social sciences and humanities, engineering technology and innovation, medicine and health sciences, business management and economic policy, education development and talent training, and law and public governance.
Alongside the institute's establishment, the first international joint research projects were released globally, covering frontier topics such as SME management model innovation in the context of digital transformation, telemedicine service system development paths in the post-pandemic era, application prospects of artificial intelligence in urban infrastructure management, and comparative research on education policy from a transnational perspective. Each project has an independent number, and participants receive a project participation certificate and completion certificate endorsed by both GAADI and IARI seals after completion.
A representative of the Alliance Presidium stated at the establishment ceremony that the institute is a milestone in GAADI's development. Over the past three years, the Alliance has helped professionals from more than 40 countries build verifiable academic identity endorsements. The institute will provide deeper support: not only a certificate, but also a real and traceable international academic research experience.
The International Academic Research Institute uses a fully open application mechanism. Individuals and institutions from all countries may apply to participate, with no nationality or discipline thresholds. The only requirement is that the applicant's professional background has a basic match with the selected project direction. Through this open model, the institute aims to bring researchers from different cultural backgrounds and academic traditions onto one platform to jointly explore research topics of real significance to global society.
